Mr. Lars Johansson
- Director
PhD in Clinical Embryology

Lars Johansson has more than twenty years experience in Worldwide Consultancy, lecturing, research, accreditation and management in Human Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART). He plans and builds ART clinics, purchase, installs and startup ART equipments, headhunt and educate staff in ART.

Lars is also an invited Speaker and Chairman of International Meetings and Workshops.

Mr. Mike Chance - Director
BSc. - Computer Information Systems

Mr. Mike Chance has over 20 years international business development experience gained whilst working in a number of Middle East countries. He was previously employed by one of the largest Development Banks in the Middle East as well as by a number of international computer hardware manufacturers and systems integrators. Mike is resident in the Kingdom of Bahrain and has property investments in the United Kingdom as well as being owner of a Diplomatic Duty Free business in South Africa which exports wines and spirits to the Middle East and Asia as well as serving clients throughout Southern Africa.

Mr. Neil D’SilvaChairman/Chief Executive Officer

Further to completing a hotel management course in native Sri Lanka, Neil started as Management Trainee with the Taj Group, which firmly instilled a passion for the hospitality industry. He developed a special interest in the field of hospitality marketing. Further to postings in Oman and Bahrain, he joined one of the Gulf’s leading contracting companies as a Sales Engineer, through which he established his unique network of affluent and influential contacts in the gulf region. At 27 he decided to continue his career as an entrepreneur and started his own real estate company, providing his services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

His business ideas proved to be successful not just for himself, but also for his many customers, providing capital growth opportunities between 60 to 130 percent. Neil was awards INTERNATIONAL QUALITY CROWN AWARD in London in 2005, and later also received the EUROPEAN MERIT AWARD in Frankfurt in February 2007. He established himself as a columnist for Middle East real estate publications, and was featured regularly in US and European publications, such as the Financial Times and Euro Money Magazine. Neil also appeared on German prime time TV as well as BBC Radio.

Currently, Neil’s focus is on developing a portfolio of environmentally and socio-economically responsible luxury resorts in his native Sri Lanka and the Indian Ocean region. Neil has resided in Bahrain for almost 20 years.

Mr. Patrick de GrootDirector/Chief Marketing Officer

Patrick graduated from The Hague Hotel School in the Netherlands in 1995 and subsequently worked in various senior marketing and business development positions for international hotel chains.

During his years with Hyatt International - EMEA, he was involved in the (pre-) opening of hotels and resorts in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Oman, and the UAE. His focus has always been on marketing as well as ‘market relevant hotel product development’. For Jumeirah Group, he set up the Development Department, and was involved in developing the Group Development Strategy from late 2004 until May 2007. Furthermore, he was on the Product Innovation Board of Jumeirah Group, exploring and designing future hotel products.

Patrick made his experience available to Norwich International Consultants by becoming a Board Member. He has now also joined the management team of Swarna Dweep. Both Patrick and Neil have strong vision on the final Dutch Bay product and work closely together with architects and interior designers, to develop this resort.

Patrick has lived and worked in the Middle East region since 1995 and currently lives with his family in Dubai, UAE.


Ms. Susan Clark - Director

Sue graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1981 with a BSc in Biology followed by a MSc. in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde,Scotland. In 1982 she joined a Middle East investment bank and has been involved for over 25 years in real estate investment and financing across all assets classes based both in the Middle East and London. Her last banking role was as a Director, Head of Real Estate for a Middle East Investment Bank. She was responsible for the management of a portfolio in excess of US $ 1 billion consisting of properties in the UK, Continental Europe, US and China. In 2007 she established her own Real Estate Consultancy firm in Bahrain. She has lived in the Middle East for over 30 years.
